About Paul Felix
Ive spent all my life working with pictures, first as a very young freelance photographer with a Microflex 6x6 camera ( A British Rolleifex ) driving around on a Vespa Scooter in the Thames Valley area of England. Photographing ever thing from news stories to my favourite landscapes it was a good place to start the river and countryside were just great. Then l joined the Daily Express in London and my life changed. Now it was travel and a having a great time, After a some time l became a picture editor, working with some of the best news and feature photographers in the world. I still took some picture of the countryside, it was in my blood. So after l was widowed l needed a new challenge in life, so moving to Cornwall and started a new life photographing the countryside full time, the laid-back easy-going Cornish people made it a great place to start a new life, and not so much travel . The world of photography has changed so imuch in the years, lve used everything format of camera from 4x5 to today, working with two Canon’s and zoom lens, and a large Mac. I find the very high quality of the digital image l get today, is just amazing. I like to take simple images and unlike some of the new bred of photographs, lm not in to photoshopping very thing. I think some paint with light so much, they should buy a brush, oil and a canvas , but perhaps lm just getting old. My best selling two pictures are still the way l took them. One was used as a poster with over three million copies printed. And was the first picture l sold with Fine Art America. Lets hope we can all go on take the pictures that we like and people what to buy. Paul Felix… Looe Cornwall England.
